Dr. Gerald Fletcher is a Presidential Fellow at the Thunderbird School of Global Management where he is currently pursuing an international MBA in developing his career as a management consultant in the healthcare industry.  He serves in several leadership positions with the Thunderbird Honor Council, Thunderbird Student Government and also as a Campus Ambassador.

Dr. Fletcher has worked as a General Medical Practitioner in Ghana for both governmental and non-governmental institutions including the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, University of Ghana Hospital, The Ghana Health Service and other health care facilities in the capacities of clinician and health care consultant. Throughout his practice, Gerald recounts the various “missed opportunities” in health care delivery prevalent in developing economies around the world mainly due to the knowledge gaps and inadequate service delivery.

Serving as the National Exchange Officer in Ghana, he represented the Medical Student Association in several outreach programs and international platforms including the International Federation of Medical Students Association and at other IFMSA standing committee meetings in Serbia and Australia.

Dr Fletcher also has immense international professional medical experience through opportunities he has had observing healthcare delivery and medical practice in The United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, The United States, and other countries in Eastern Europe and West Africa. He is bilingually proficient in in English and conversational French.

Dr Fletcher is an honors graduate in Bachelor of Science in Medical Sciences (B.Sc. Med) from the University of Ghana and proceeded to earn his qualification to practice Medicine, at the University of Ghana Medical School with a postgraduate Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB).
