We also have a new and better website, and monthly seminars on various topics in Washington, DC and New York. ACI Appoints New Regional Representative for Southern Africa, Oliver Kanene ACI is pleased to announce that ACI, Inc. has appointed Oliver Kanene as its Regional Representative for Southern Africa. Mr. Kanene, as the regional representative for Southern Africa will:
Mr. Kanene currently is the HIV/AIDS Crisis Corps/Zambia Coordinator, US Peace Corps. Mr. Kanane has extensive experienced with multilateral, donor and non-governmental organizatons, which has included Information Officer for the International Organisation for Migration/World Lutheran Federation Refugee HIV/AIDS Project in Zambia and the Center for development Cooperarion of Finland, Zambia Field Office. He was also an IEC Specialist, World Bank/Government of Zambia Social Investment Fund. ACI International Advisory Board Member, Yolonda C. Richardson, JD, MPH Yolonda C. Richardson, JD, MPH, an ACI International Advisory Board Member is the new President & CEO, of the Center for Development and Population Activities (CEDPA). Ms. Richardson is a dynamic leader and recognized expert in international women's rights, reproductive health and international development. Throughout her career she has been committed to social development in Africa and globally. She has served as Special Counsel for the African Development Foundation, a government-funded agency that provides financial support to African non-governmental organizations that enhance the participation of the poor in the economic and social development of their countries. From 1999 -2002 she was the Senior Vice President of Africare, where she oversaw program design, implementation and evaluation of more than 150 development projects throughout Africa. |
